Are you due for an appointment? Generally, we recommend that you schedule a dental exam and cleaning every six months. This is to ensure that we can monitor your oral health and catch any issues before they progress into problems. Some patients require more frequent visits if they are undergoing treatment, and we are always happy to schedule an appointment for you if you feel you need to see us sooner. Relationships Are Important to Us
Seeing our patients on a regular basis allows us to develop a relationship with them. We can learn about their habits, concerns, and goals. The better we know you, the better we can care for your oral health. It also gives us a chance to gauge what kind of patient you are. Do you suffer from dental anxiety? Are you worried about specific issues? Do you like to listen to music during your appointments? Regular visits give us the chance to get to know you and for you to get to know us.
Communication Is Key
When you come in for your dental exams and cleanings, please ask questions and tell us how you are feeling. Talk to us; communication is important for us to get to know you and your needs better. Never be afraid to speak up if there is something on your mind. We want to help you, and the more you tell us, the better we can do that.
Daily Routine
Keep up your dental hygiene at home. This is the single most important thing you can do between appointments. Regular checkups and cleanings are great and important for prevention, but you also need to take care of your oral health between visits to keep your smile healthy and strong. Brush twice a day, floss daily, and use mouthwash.
