What are Immediate Implants?
One of the biggest obstacles that keeps patients from moving forward with dental implants is the time needed for the entire treatment process. As you heard mentioned in the video, our patient has received other implants in the past and was not a fan of the time they took. With traditional dental implants, there is healing time needed after each step in the process, starting with the tooth extraction. Immediate implants eliminate the waiting time. We are able to complete the entire process in one visit to our office.

The components for immediate implants are the same as for traditional implants. We are still replacing the entire tooth structure, including the tooth root. We still use the implant, abutment, and prosthetic tooth. The only difference is the time needed to complete the process. Instead of multiple visits to our office with months between visits, we can complete everything we need to in one visit to our office. Although we love seeing our patients, we know they appreciate the convenience of a shorter treatment time.
