My team and I believe that you, our patient, always deserve better. We believe you deserve better technology, better clinical skills, better care, better results, and a better dental experience. This belief drives everything we do. One way that we can do better for our patients is to grow through continuing education. The dental practice is always evolving and changing, with new technology and treatments available to improve your care and recovery. I recently had the opportunity to attend a course that focused on cosmetic dentistry, specifically veneers. Read on to learn more about this opportunity and how it will improve your care.
Learning to Improve Your Care
I believe in doing all I can to improve the quality of care I offer my patients. I recently had the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of high-end cosmetics, smile design, and veneers by attending a training at Smile Design by Sisler in East Central, PA. I learned more about these topics from Dr. Zachary Sisler, who led the training. This unique, 2-day course included a lecture followed by a live experience watching Dr. Sisler at work on a patient. I was able to see all the materials and techniques he used, and I am using what I learned every day on my own patients.
What are Veneers?
My course focused primarily on veneers, so I want to take a moment to explain this treatment if you are unfamiliar with it. Veneers are an excellent way to upgrade your smile. Custom-designed porcelain shells are permanently placed over the fronts of your teeth. This treatment can be used on one tooth or multiple teeth. Patients primarily choose veneers for the teeth that are visible when they smile. Veneers are custom-designed to blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth.
